In this workshop, we will discuss how Process Mining, a novel Data Science technique, could be used to discover, in a matter of seconds (if you have data), the actual processes your organisation is performing. Also, we will cover how to identify bottlenecks and deviations from the expected processes.

Arthur Valle is a Principal Academic Staff Member in the Centre for Information Technology at Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology), where he is the acting Team Manager and also the IT Research Leader.
Arthur has a PhD in Production and System Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR) in Brazil. As his thesis, he developed a method for applying Process Mining techniques in software process assessments. Arthur has industry and academic background in topics such as Lean Six Sigma; Continuous Improvement; Business Process Management; Software Development; Quality Management; Operations Management; Performance Measurement, Project Management; Service Management and Strategy.
As a former senior IT consultant for the last 20 years, Arthur had been involved in 15+ successful CMMI-based improvement programs in Brazil and abroad.
