In May this year the government announced that all six Workforce Development Councils (WDCs) will be fast-tracked for establishment by a target date of the end of 2020. This panel includes representatives of the "Creative, Cultural, Recreation and Technology" WDC, ITPNZ and CITRENZ. The goal of this session is to inform the attendees of the progress of the establishment of this WDC and allow for discussion on what the changes mean for vocational education.
Earlier this year NZQA listed the reviewed New Zealand IT Qualifications at Levels 2-6. This was after a period of review carried out in 2019. This session will outline the processes and changes that occurred and what our obligations are. It will also allow for an opportunity to discuss the possibilities for future collaborative programme development.
